Visiting Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyễn Thị Bỏng

To mark the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (27 July 1947 – 27 July 2020), the Từ Bi Tâm Fund, together with Đông Ngạc ward, visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyễn Thị Bỏng.

That year she was 95 years old. She had 4 children, 2 of whom were sons killed in the war. Mr Tạ Hoàng Hà, Vice Chairman of the Đông Ngạc Ward People’s Committee, acknowledged and thanked the Fund for its kindness.

Monthly support over many years

From 2015, the Fund supported Mother Bỏng every month and visited her on holidays, at Tết, on 27 July and during the Vu Lan festival. This support continued until she passed away at the age of 96. At Tết Quý Mão 2023, a delegation from the Fund came to burn incense in her memory.
